Some girls in our village completed +2 but not able to continue education due to financial problem in their family. We've guided these girls to learn a embroidery/handicraft production. Sivanjali Trust is having an embroidery and handicraft production cum training unit for women in Vadavalli(Coimbatore). Our Self Help Group Coordinator met them and requested to give training for these girls along with some other housewives. Surprisingly they have accepeted to give free training along with free accomodation and food. 5 Girls from vavipalayam undergone training. This is a one month residential training. Now these girls have completed the course and started to do embroidery on their own. Sivanjali Trust gives the cloth and design. These girls have to do the embroidery works in the cloth. For each piece of work they will get Rs.250. Now it takes 15 days to finish one piece. We hope it will reduce further when they keep on doing works. Photos
